Forest of Life explores the landscape at both its grandest and most intimate scale. From a distance, layers of deep forest green, moss and muted earth form an expansive landscape of hills, valleys and shifting light. Look closer and the marks begin to suggest something smaller — the intricate textures of moss, lichen, stone and the forest floor.

Fine lines move through the heavier layers of paint, tracing connections across the surface and reflecting the extraordinary detail found within the natural world. It is a work about looking closely: about the landscapes within landscapes, and the quiet, intricate systems that connect and sustain life.

Earthy, raw and richly layered, Forest of Life invites the viewer to move between the vastness of the land and the tiny details from which it is made.
